Why is the newsgroup that I am supposed to subscribe to is not in the list?

    Scenario:
    You are supposed to subscribe to certain newsgroup(s) but it/they did not appear in the newsgroup list.

    Possible Cause: These are usually newsgroups that are newly created after you have setup your account.

    Solution:

  1. Right mouse button click at the news server : vbus-news1.tp.edu.sg

  2. Select Newsgroups and then click on it.

  3. Click on the Reset List button.

  4. A dialog box showing : Downloading the list of newsgroups . . . .

    5. When downloading newsgroup is completed, search through the list for the desired newsgroup and click Subscribe and then click on OK.
