The news server 'vbus-news1.tp.edu.sg' rejected your user name and password....

    Error Message:
    The news server 'vbus-news1.tp.edu.sg' rejected your user name and password. This could be because your username and password are incorrect or because a username and password are not required.

    Possible Cause: You have either keyed in the wrong user name or password. There is a possibility that your Caps Lock button is activated.

    Solution:

  1. Click on OK button, you would see a new dialog box prompting for username and password:

    2. Key in the correct username & password again.

  2. The User Name is your Admission / Matrix number, e.g. 9876543a.

  3. The Password is your NRIC No., e.g. s1234567a (alphabets in lower case).

    4. If you have done the above correctly and still can't login, go to the menu Helpdesk and select Newsgroup to submit a problem log.
